Partisan are delighted to be hosting the launch party for Hilary O'Mahony's upcoming exhibition at 3space. Partisan Collective will be serving drinks, playing some music, and enjoying the wonderful artwork! We hope to see you there! whatever it amounts to is the title of a new body of work by artist Hilary O’ Mahony. This project was made in response to an observation of a vast amount of discarded scratch cards littering the streets in a South Manchester suburb. The lottery is an emotionally charged game. It creates many conflicting feelings, most notably luck, hope and disappointment. These associated feelings are encapsulated within this body of work raising questions about the ethics of the game. whatever it amounts to is concerned with value, identity and self-pursuit.
