DESCRIPTION:Javier Camañas is a Spanish photographer living and working in Manchester. He never misses a photographic opportunity and captures just the right image\, distinguished by a cinematic vision and style. \nIn his first exhibition\, he looks to share his street photography\, of people that were walking or still in that unique moment: they were there are ‘You Were Here.’ \nThe exhibition consists of photographs taken in Manchester\, London\, New York and Spain between 2010 and 2016. \nCome and scream: ‘I was here!’ at the launch night on the fourth floor of Partisan HQ\, run by 3space on Friday 5th August. Join us from 7pm for pay-what you-can booze\, good vibes and a moving selection of photographs. \nThe exhibition will be open 12pm-5pm each day. \n

Across all her work is an exploration of her interest in ma\, the Japanese aesthetic concept of space-time. \nAs a percussionist she has performed across the UK\, Europe and Japan and studied with a range of percussionists including marimba virtuoso and composer\, Keiko Abe\, at the Toho Gakuen School of Music\, Tokyo. An ongoing project is composing for\, and performing with the g·bop orchestra; and working with a new method of graphic musical notation\, the floor score; that uses movement in space to generate live music. \n
