DESCRIPTION:Come and join us upstairs on Saturday 23rd from 2pm\, where anyone can read\, make zines\, collaborate\, be shown what a zine is and how to make one\, work on an existing project\, or ask more seasoned zine-makers any practical questions. Zines to read and materials will be provided\, open to all!\nJust come and have a nice hang out and a chat with us! Zines to read and materials will be provided\, but feel free to bring along anything you might want to use or donate. \nAll welcome. Zine Club is FREE but donations will be very welcome to cover materials and to raise money for Partisan. Pop and (vegan friendly) snacks will be available. \nAbout the Venue\nPartisan Collective is a community and arts venue\, located a 5 minute walk from Victoria station. We encourage attendees to become a member if possible (prices are sliding-scale based on income) to help the future sustainability of the space: partisancollective.net/membership \n\n \nAccess: Partisan is unfortunately not currently wheelchair accessible. They are fundraising to make this happen in the future. Zine Club will take place on the 1st floor\, which is accessed via a flight of stairs. \nAll toilets are gender-neutral\, single-occupancy restrooms are available. The space will be alcohol-free for this session.\nEmail penfightdistro@gmail.com for other access questions. \nWhat’s a zine?\nA zine (pronounced like maga-zine) is a self-made printed publication\, often made cheaply\, usually photocopied – but other printing methods can be used. They can be about anything\, from politics to art to your favourite tv show. They can be hand made one-offs or printed in their hundreds. People can hand draw and copy and paste them\, use a computer\, or both\, or anything inbetween. Even if you’ve never heard of them before\, you’ve probably seen one and just didn’t know they had a special name. Anyone can make one\, including you! \n
