MCR Debates sets out to create an open, non-dogmatic, non-judgmental space to discuss radical ideas.
For the first event we are debating the statement:
“Masculinity is Man’s Greatest Enemy”
“We need to make space to discuss the impoverishment of a masculine existence, we need to explicitly identify masculinity as something that causes suffering, both to women who are degraded by it and to men who are subjected to it, how can we develop strategies to escape an impoverished gendered existence?”
in preparation for the discussion we suggested participants watch the following documentary series
