DESCRIPTION:Processing is a general purpose programming language\, based upon Java. It’s intended for use by artists and for education\, but has developed powerful features over the last decade. You can find out more about processing here:\nwww.processing.org\nThe course leader\, Chris Ball\, has worked extensively with processing and used it to teach\, experiment\, and create live installations. \nAims:\nTo cover a basic introduction to coding using processing. We will be focusing upon program flow and basic visual tasks. \n3 hours length.\nIn this time\, we will cover:\n-Download and installation of Processing\n-Drawing shapes (X and Y positions)\n-Drawing images\n-Background\n-Translate\, rotate and scale\n-Writing a function\n-Resources for further development:\n-how to use and interpret the built-in examples\n-language reference\n-brief intro to using libraries\n-brief intro to the community\nPeople are to bring their own laptops (no other equipment required).
